About Your Hometown Realtors
Matthew Bennett-Monty
Since its establishment as a brand in early 2008, “Your Hometown Realtors” just seemed like a natural fit. Two local realtors, involved in the community, join forces to represent a wide variety of homes and businesses in the Wellington and surrounding area. They do this consistently in the top 10% of sales nationally.
I have always had a passion for real estate. Shortly after graduating Conestoga College in the Industrial Maintenance Mechanic Program, I started a small building maintenance service, essentially property management. This translated into investing in rental properties in Waterloo and Centre Wellington. I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy every aspect of classic cars and power sports.
Since then I have joined Royal LePage and the Guelph and District Association of Realtors. I currently serve on the G.D.A.R.'s Board of Directors, chair of the Publicity Task Force and have recently joined the Local Market Task Force. Locally, I am a member of the Elora Buisness Improvement Area executive and serve as Secretary Treasurer. I believe acting in these capacities not only gives back to the organizations that have been key in my successes, but also grants me the opportunity to be at the fore front of ideas and concepts that will shape the future.
I look forward to sharing this great community with you.
About Glen Kelley
A member of the Guelph and District Association of Realtors and the MLS system for the past 26 years. After serving 5 years as a board director I became board president in 1991. Our 17 office locations have over 350 agents in South Central Ontario for wide exposure and a great marketing area for all our listings.
Consistently I have been in the top 10% in sales and achieved Realty World Presidents Sales Master designation for being #1 in sales production in 1986, for the province.
Graduating from Ontario Agricultural College in 1966 I took a management position with United Cooperative of Ontario and in 1969 became part owner and manager of Fergus Building Supply, a lumber company that we started and ran successfully for 10 years. In 1983 I signed on with our office and become a registered real estate broker.
A member of the Elora Lions club for 28 years and involved with several community fundraising committees and projects, improving our neighbourhood.
Married with 2 daughters we now have 6 wonderful grand children who enjoy spending time on our 50 acre farm and fishing in the farm pond on our property. Building a couple of new homes in the area did not prepare me for the restoration of our 1865 stone home which has been a great experience. A busy career has not prevented me from enjoying some time at the cottage and some long awaited travelling time. I enjoy working in this great area and delight in finding the right property for a client knowing that they also will fall in love with our community.
